Terms of Service
Last updated: 28 July 2026
These terms govern your use of ReCa (ReCa), a car rental marketplace operating in Pakistan at reca-app.com. By creating an account or booking a car you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. What ReCa is
ReCa is a marketplace that connects people who want to rent a car (“renters”) with people who own cars and want to rent them out (“vendors”). ReCa does not own, operate, maintain or insure any of the vehicles listed on the platform, and is not a party to the rental agreement between a renter and a vendor. The rental contract is directly between those two parties.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- You must provide accurate information, and you are responsible for everything done through your account. Keep your password secure.
- Vendor accounts are reviewed by ReCa before listings become visible. ReCa may decline or revoke vendor status at its discretion.
- One account per person. Accounts may not be sold or transferred.
3. Listings and pricing
Vendors set their own daily rates, availability, and the documents they require from renters. Vendors are responsible for the accuracy of their listings, including photos, specifications, mileage and cancellation policies, and for ensuring the vehicle is roadworthy, registered and legally permitted to be rented out.
Prices shown are per day. A day means each started 24-hour period between pickup and return. ReCa does not set, control or guarantee any price.
4. Bookings and payment
- Payment is made directly by the renter to the vendor by bank transfer. ReCa does not process, hold or escrow payments and is not a payment service provider.
- A booking is a request until the vendor confirms it. Renters upload a payment receipt and any required documents at booking time; vendors verify and confirm.
- Cancellation and refund terms are set by the vendor and shown on the listing. Refunds are arranged between the renter and the vendor.
- Because payment happens off-platform, ReCa cannot reverse a transfer or guarantee a refund.
5. Renter responsibilities
- Hold a valid Pakistani driving licence when renting self-drive, and comply with all applicable traffic and vehicle laws.
- Provide genuine documents. Falsified documents will result in account termination.
- Return the vehicle at the agreed time and in the condition received, allowing for normal wear.
- Do not sublet the vehicle, use it for illegal purposes, or allow anyone not agreed with the vendor to drive it.
- Fines, tolls and traffic violations incurred during the rental are your responsibility.
6. Vendor responsibilities
- You must legally own the vehicle or be authorised to rent it out, and it must be registered and roadworthy.
- You are responsible for your own insurance arrangements and for confirming whether your policy covers commercial rental use.
- Keep your availability calendar accurate and honour confirmed bookings.
- Handle renters’ documents lawfully and only for the purpose of verifying a booking.
7. Insurance and damage
ReCa does not provide insurance of any kind. Any damage, theft, accident or third-party claim arising during a rental is a matter between the renter, the vendor and their respective insurers. We strongly recommend both parties photograph the vehicle at handover and at return.
8. Ratings and content
You retain ownership of the photos and text you upload, and grant ReCa a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and distribute that content in connection with operating and promoting the platform. Do not upload content you do not have the rights to, or content that is misleading, unlawful or offensive. ReCa may remove content or ratings that breach these terms.
9. Prohibited conduct
- Circumventing the platform to avoid its protections or misrepresent a booking.
- Harassing, threatening or discriminating against other users.
- Scraping, reverse engineering, or interfering with the operation of the service.
- Creating listings for vehicles you do not control, or fraudulent bookings.
10. Limitation of liability
The platform is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by Pakistani law, ReCa is not liable for any loss, damage, injury or expense arising from a rental arranged through the platform, from the condition or conduct of any vehicle or user, or from any payment made between users. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
11. Suspension and termination
ReCa may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, that is the subject of credible safety or fraud complaints, or where required by law. You may close your account at any time by contacting info@reca-app.com.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. Material changes will be announced on the site. Continuing to use ReCa after a change means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and the courts of Pakistan have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
